The Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences at the Hebrew University invites outstanding applications for a tenure-track position in the Life Sciences.

The Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences is celebrating 100 years of groundbreaking biological research at the Hebrew University and is inviting outstanding researchers in all fields of life sciences to apply for a tenure-track academic position.

All fields of life sciences will be considered, including (but not limited to): Ecology, Evolution, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular biology, Cell biology, Biotechnology, Plant sciences, and more.

 

Applicants must have a proven background in their area of research, with outstanding and well-documented academic achievements during their Ph.D. and postdoctoral training. Successful candidates will establish and lead an independent research group and will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.

 

 

Each application (in English) must include the following items:

  • Application Form
  • Profile photo
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • List of Publications
  • Scientific Biography (up to 2 pages)
  • Research Proposal (up to 4 pages)
  • Teaching Statement (1 page)
  • Copies of 3 selected publications
  • Letters of recommendation — it is recommended to include letters from Ph.D. and postdoctoral advisors
  • A list of 5 relevant referees
